Reloaded!!

The things I thought would bring me a quicker feeling of success ended up letting me down, in return, I let down the people watching and supporting me. MTD had taken off in a flurry of featured blogs, etsy picks, and sales to people that saw something special in what I was doing. Trying to find a balance between demanding work and a passion for creativity I ended up taking MTD and putting it on the back burner to slowly cool down to what is now a cold dish. That demanding work I was doing required so much of my time that I alienated those around me and my desires to design and create, and in the end it was the demanding work that left me. After being chewed up and spit out I find myself back in the sketch book, my mind racing with ideas and plans on how to bring MTD back bigger, better and more efficient. Things are in the works, equipment is upgraded, and time is on my side! For those of you who were looking for me and I was no where to be found, I am sorry, For those of you who are new to MTD, welcome. Okay.... I Reloaded!

Featured..

Waking up from a long nap isn't easy to do, but I have smelled the spring air and have traveled outside again. In my time away I have meditated and prayed to the tie gods, they have shown me the future. A future that no other tie designer has seen yet! It excites and scares me at the same time with what is in store in the near future but I must move forward. I have a destiny to fulfill, ignoring what I am put here to do could bring about catastrophic consequences. As I logged into Etsy for the first time in months I found myself like a kid getting back on a bike. A little slow at first but was soon riding up and down the street with ease. Almost as soon as I re-listed items I found myself with a surge of hits, I checked the front page immediately. The tie gods have smiled upon me once again! Front page baby!

Boo-ya-ka-sha!

Represent.  Here I am getting featured in a Treasury.  Posted this tie a couple hours earlier and someone found it, liked it, and put it in a treasury.  Quick work!  Check it out while it lasts!

PIKER! - MTD on da Scene.....boyyeeeeeee

This picture was sent to me from Mariano, an employee at The Mobile Solution in Alderwood mall, Lynnwood, WA. The manager had this custom tie made for employees that go a day without selling anything. Mariano had a bad morning and was required to wear the tie immediately resulting in over $700 in sales. Thank you for your submission Mariano, pink looks good on you! - MTD

What say what!

I get up and running, I got featured on the front page for one of my ties, I got listed in the for him gift guide. If that wasn't enough to make me smile I got my Treasury featured on the front page! Oh yeah, it's like that. Just finished some more ties that are about to get listed in my shop. Check'em out and send me some photos. I want to see where MTD ties are going!

Yesterday was an interesting one.  I posted my first treasury and after a couple of hours had gone by I noticed my page views had almost doubled.  I was excited at first but then confused.  I checked back on my treasury and noticed that I only had gotten 15 views on it.  I asked on the Etsy forums to see where the sudden traffic could've come from.  To my surprise I was informed that I had been listed on the front page and in the 'For Him' gift guide! Here's a quick screenshot of my front page debut. Not too shabby if I do say so myself! -MTD
